Chinwe Ejike helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, the referee gave Lexxan a penalty. Edorisi Akparanta looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Okuweh Adeyemi. A hard shot 11 in the game by Edorisi Akparanta from a close distance when the talented Okuweh Adeyemi managed to make a qualified save. Burnham on Crouch's players were relieved. Dosu Famewo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hashimu Ikani, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Chuka Amokachi charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chuka Amokachi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Chuka Amokachi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute Jessica Ayoka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dosu Famewo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Edorisi Akparanta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Okuweh Adeyemi. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jessica Ayoka in the 21st minute of play forced Lexxan's goalkeeper Dosu Famewo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lexxan's Dosu Famewo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hashimu Ikani in the 23rd minute of play. Erhabor Adelekan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Okuweh Adeyemi made a huge save. Edorisi Akparanta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okuweh Adeyemi having to interfere. Dosu Famewo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hashimu Ikani in the 31st minute of the match. Omamofe Shorunmu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edorisi Akparanta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jessica Ayoka in the 44th minute of play forced Lexxan's goalkeeper Dosu Famewo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dosu Famewo came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Burnham on Crouch's Hashimu Ikani. But to his dismay, Hashimu Ikani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Lexxan defense, Ajuluchukwu Chinatu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dosu Famewo. The Lexxan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dosu Famewo should have stopped the shot. Chukwuemeka Kamuche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Okuweh Adeyemi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Hashimu Ikani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Dosu Famewo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Burnham on Crouch's Okuweh Adeyemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edorisi Akparanta in the 63rd minute of play. After 69 played minutes Burnham on Crouch got a freekick which was hit by Ajuluchukwu Chinatu. In the 72nd minute, Ajuluchukwu Chinatu made a precise shot to the right of Dosu Famewo. Lexxan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Dosu Famewo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jessica Ayoka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edorisi Akparanta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Burnham on Crouch's zone, Chukwuemeka Kamuche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okuweh Adeyemi came out of the goal and Chukwuemeka Kamuche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Lexxan booed when Burnham on Crouch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bola Angani didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Benneth Agbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lexxan's Edorisi Akparanta in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Burnham on Crouch's goalie prevented a goal. Lexxan's Dosu Famewo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Lexxan from getting a goal against them. Although Lexxan had been in control for most of the match, Burnham on Crouch still came away with the win.
