Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Oni Aina got free with Pascal Awu in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Tony Shawulu made a precise shot to the right of Pascal Awu. Knapton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Peter Oni Ainas short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Pascal Awu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Clowne's Peter Oni Aina got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match, Peter Oni Aina got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pascal Awu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Peter Oni Aina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pascal Awu having to make a save. If Adewale Affe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adewale Affe made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ogunmola Olagoke Abduwa in the 52nd minute of play forced Knapton's goalkeeper Pascal Awu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Oni Aina in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascal Awu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd match minute, Knapton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manasseh Ojudun to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ogunmola Olagoke Abduwa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pascal Awu was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Pascal Awu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Oni Aina went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute, Peter Oni Aina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clowne's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
