Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Kings FC booed when Brighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chioma Alumona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Onyekachukwu Ojibara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Onyekachukwu Ojibara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omamofe Opadokun to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Brighton's Mala Otite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olakunde Oguntade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Ibikunle Omeire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brighton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kings FC the free kick. Kings FC's Udegbunam Adeitan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Brighton. In the 63rd match minute, Brighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chioma Alumona to maneuver through the defense. Mala Otite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olakunde Oguntade having to interfere. When Mala Otite came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Brighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mala Otite couldn't finish the play. Kosiso Ijeh kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Obiajulu Achukwu during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kings FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Brighton's Buka Effiang got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Olakunde Oguntade. Kings FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Ageeh Okwudili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isah Ijoh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If David Ageeh Okwudili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Omamofe Opadokun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isah Ijoh was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 98th minute David Ageeh Okwudili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isah Ijoh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
