Spectators: 8439 (Terracing: 6330, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adewale Affe started the match with the kick off. Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olakunde Oguntade having to interfere. Adewale Affe might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olakunde Oguntade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adewale Affe ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute, David Ageeh Okwudili got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Udegbunam Adeitan shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omamofe Opadokun in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascal Awu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Kings FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adewale Affe came free, but Olakunde Oguntade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Olakunde Oguntade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 24 minutes into the game, Romanus Nwaozuzu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kings FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knapton the free kick. After 24 played minutes Kings FC got a freekick which was hit by Romanus Nwaozuzu. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kings FC's goalkeeper Olakunde Oguntade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Olakunde Oguntade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olakunde Oguntade having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Adewale Affe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knapton's supporters rose to their feet, but Adewale Affe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olakunde Oguntade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kosiso Ijeh scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pascal Awu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Olakunde Oguntade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knapton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 75th minute, Kosiso Ijeh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute of the match Kesiana Ademokun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olakunde Oguntade skillfully saved the ball. Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olakunde Oguntade, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Knapton's Pascal Awu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omamofe Opadokun in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Adewale Affe made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kings FC's Olakunde Oguntade tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Olakunde Oguntade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iroawuchi Okoroanyanwu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kings FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Knapton.
