Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Awenayeri Ajanaku took the kick off in the first half of the match. Manasseh Ginikanwa hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Awenayeri Ajanaku in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inaku Abioye saved Thatcham from getting behind. When Shoeburynesss's Awenayeri Ajanaku in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Shoeburynesss's attentive Abduwa Aliyu managed to snatch the ball when Mbadiwe Ogodo made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. If Tang Zhi Hai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Thatcham players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Shoeburynesss were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chinwenma Okiche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tang Zhi Hai in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Inaku Abioye, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tang Zhi Hai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Inaku Abioye made a huge save.
