The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Doncaster getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Bombai Omolade hit a great ball. Yege Abhiele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nwabugwu Falana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike in the 7th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yege Abhiele got free with Nwabugwu Falana in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Theorah FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Dahunsi Ajunwa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike in the 20th minute of play forced Doncaster's goalkeeper Nwabugwu Falana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Ime Aluma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tamarautare Chinemenma took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nwabugwu Falana. Doncaster's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yege Abhiele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Nwabugwu Falana made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Sampson Achai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Wasiu Chaicai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 29 played minutes Doncaster got a freekick which was hit by Bombai Omolade. If Yege Abhiele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olawale Habibu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Doncaster's goalkeeper Nwabugwu Falana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yege Abhiele. A collision led to Theorah FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Akin Fasuba hit a great ball. Iheanacho Omole stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sampson Achai's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Peter Oni Ayodele's late challenge caught a Doncaster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Oni Ayodele helped the player get up and apologised. Nwabugwu Falana was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Wasiu Chaicai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nwabugwu Falana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yege Abhiele, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the game, Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nwabugwu Falana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sampson Achai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Iheanacho Omole made a huge save. If Yege Abhiele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Doncaster's Yahuza Abiodun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 80th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Iheanacho Omole but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Theorah FC's zone, Wasiu Chaicai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iheanacho Omole came out of the goal and Wasiu Chaicai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doncaster's Sampson Achai got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Wasiu Chaicai came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Doncaster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wasiu Chaicai couldn't finish the play. Doncaster's Nwabugwu Falana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Yege Abhiele ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nwabugwu Falana was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 97 minutes into the game, Sampson Achai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Iheanacho Omole was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
