Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aboi Amuda got the match started through his kick off. Starry city's Madukaife Desalu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Starry city from getting a goal against them. Madukaife Desalu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osar Etete's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Bola Ezeafulukwe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Madukaife Desalu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Madukaife Desalu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osar Etete in the 19th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Carterton's Madukaife Desalu threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osar Etete, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bola Ezeafulukwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madukaife Desalu having to interfere. When Osar Etete in the 25th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Madukaife Desalu kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Bola Ezeafulukwe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Madukaife Desalu firmly grabbed it by the left post. 30 minutes into the game, Dike Abiodun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carterton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Starry city the free kick. After 31 played minutes Carterton got a freekick which was hit by Dike Abiodun. Bola Ezeafulukwe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Madukaife Desalu made a huge save. Bola Ezeafulukwe struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Madukaife Desalu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carterton. Madukaife Desalu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osar Etete in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, Starry city's Madukaife Desalu got control of the ball when Bola Ezeafulukwe tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Osar Etete made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Osar Etete had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Madukaife Desalu. Starry city's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osar Etete was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. During the 61st minute of the match Dike Abiodun completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dike Abiodun a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dike Abiodun kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Bola Ezeafulukwe notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Starry city's Madukaife Desalu. Madukaife Desalu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bola Ezeafulukwe took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Madukaife Desalu. Madukaife Desalu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. A collision led to Starry city getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Edith Bodams hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddy Eliakwu during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carterton's Clever Ovie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Carterton from getting a goal against them. Carterton walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
