In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berwick Upon Tweed's goalkeeper Malam Ekpo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Berwick Upon Tweed booed when Doncaster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasiu Chaicai didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Berwick Upon Tweed's Malam Ekpo got control of the ball when Sampson Achai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stanley Arinze Ogbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Doncaster's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Arinze Ogbo came free, but Nwabugwu Falana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nasidi Amaoka kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Sampson Achai fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Doncaster's protests and gave Sampson Achai a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Berwick Upon Tweed booed when Doncaster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sampson Achai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Olusegun Omolara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berwick Upon Tweed's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Doncaster the free kick. A collision led to Berwick Upon Tweed getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Olusegun Omolara hit a great ball. Sampson Achai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Berwick Upon Tweed booed when Doncaster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dahunsi Ajunwa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Stanley Arinze Ogbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nwabugwu Falana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wasiu Chaicai in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malam Ekpo saved Berwick Upon Tweed from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Wasiu Chaicai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doncaster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Malam Ekpo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasiu Chaicai in the 60th minute of the match. Sampson Achai struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Malam Ekpo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doncaster. In the 65th minute, Rapuokwu Khumbotso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Berwick Upon Tweed's Stanley Arinze Ogbo in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Malam Ekpo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasiu Chaicai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osarobo Aborishade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malam Ekpo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wasiu Chaicai went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With his leg Nwabugwu Falana managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Berwick Upon Tweed's Stanley Arinze Ogbo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 94 minutes, Stanley Arinze Ogbo made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Doncaster's Nwabugwu Falana tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Doncaster walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
