In the 36th minute, Hamman Ndudim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theorah FC's Tamarautare Chinemenma couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Shoeburynesss. If Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iheanacho Omole made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Awenayeri Ajanaku in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Shoeburynesss's Awenayeri Ajanaku nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iheanacho Omole made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Awenayeri Ajanaku received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Iheanacho Omole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iheanacho Omole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tang Zhi Hai in the 87th minute of the match.
