Nwabugwu Falana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chinwenma Okiche in the 46th minute of play. Sampson Achai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inaku Abioye having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sampson Achai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doncaster's Nwabugwu Falana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onyeka Layeni in the 57th minute of play. Nwabugwu Falana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Onyeka Layeni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Doncaster's goal looked a bit too open when Onyeka Layeni came free, but Nwabugwu Falana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Sampson Achai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inaku Abioye was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 74 minutes into the match, Thatcham's goal looked a bit too open when Wasiu Chaicai came free, but Inaku Abioye reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wasiu Chaicai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nwabugwu Falana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Onyeka Layeni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84thth minute of the game Chinwenma Okiche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Doncaster's Nwabugwu Falana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
