With a little luck, Berwick Upon Tweed's Malam Ekpo got control of the ball when Bola Ezeafulukwe tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanley Arinze Ogbo in the 23rd minute of play forced Carterton's goalkeeper Clever Ovie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
