An unexpectedly hard shot by Okorie Aro in the 10th minute of play forced Theorah FC's goalkeeper Iheanacho Omole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 minutes, Solomon Dambatta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West 6 FC and the Theorah FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hammed Aiyetan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iheanacho Omole stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Okorie Aro's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Almu Adefala during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of West 6 FC booed when Theorah FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almu Adefala didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West 6 FC reached it.

The wind increased when Okorie Aro made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Okorie Aro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iheanacho Omole. Theorah FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Okorie Aro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to West 6 FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Yege Abhiele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hammed Aiyetan having to interfere. Hammed Aiyetan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yege Abhiele, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. West 6 FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
