Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aboi Amuda made the kick off which started today's match. 6 minutes into the game, Yege Abhiele cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Madukaife Desalu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 10 minutes, Yege Abhiele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Theorah FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yege Abhiele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emmanuel Emecheta's late challenge caught a Theorah FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emmanuel Emecheta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Starry city was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nonye Olatokunbo to maneuver through the defense. Madukaife Desalu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emmanuel Emecheta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Theorah FC got a freekick which was hit by Uchieze Okon. In the 35th minute of the match, Aboi Amuda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iheanacho Omole was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Peter Oni Ayodele kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Starry city's goal looked a bit too open when Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike came free, but Madukaife Desalu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Yege Abhiele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Madukaife Desalu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After 60 minutes, Nonye Olatokunbo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Starry city and the Theorah FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Nonye Olatokunbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmanuel Emecheta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emmanuel Emecheta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iheanacho Omole having to make a save. Aboi Amuda kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Yege Abhiele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madukaife Desalu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aboi Amuda in the 85th minute of play forced Theorah FC's goalkeeper Iheanacho Omole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Madukaife Desalu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Yege Abhiele fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Aboi Amuda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Iheanacho Omole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
