Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike started the match with the kick off. Iheanacho Omole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bola Ezeafulukwe in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Carterton's Bola Ezeafulukwe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iheanacho Omole narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bola Ezeafulukwe in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iheanacho Omole saved Theorah FC from getting behind. In the 11th minute Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clever Ovie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Bola Ezeafulukwe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iheanacho Omole. Theorah FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bola Ezeafulukwe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clever Ovie was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After having played for 22 minutes, Bola Ezeafulukwe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carterton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bola Ezeafulukwe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Theorah FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Otutodilichukwu Daika hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Osar Etete had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iheanacho Omole. Theorah FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osar Etete was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bola Ezeafulukwe in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iheanacho Omole prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th match minute, Theorah FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otutodilichukwu Daika to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes, Akin Fasuba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Theorah FC and the Carterton players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Akin Fasuba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Theorah FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Peter Oni Ayodele hit a great ball. Theorah FC's Iheanacho Omole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osar Etete in the 39th minute of play. Osar Etete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iheanacho Omole stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bola Ezeafulukwe's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osar Etete to strike the kick off in the second half. Bola Ezeafulukwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Iheanacho Omole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Theorah FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osar Etete came free, but Iheanacho Omole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Carterton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gbenga Dimeji to maneuver through the defense. Tamarautare Chinemenma took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clever Ovie. Carterton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Theorah FC's Iheanacho Omole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osar Etete in the 59th minute of play. When Bola Ezeafulukwe came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Carterton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bola Ezeafulukwe couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Bola Ezeafulukwe made a precise shot to the right of Iheanacho Omole. Theorah FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Tamarautare Chinemenma's late challenge caught a Carterton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tamarautare Chinemenma helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Tamarautare Chinemenma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osar Etete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clever Ovie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yege Abhiele in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 minutes Carterton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tamarautare Chinemenma who took care of the corner kick. Clever Ovie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Monday Olopade during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Carterton got a freekick which was hit by Eric Monday Olopade. Gbenga Dimeji charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gbenga Dimeji the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gbenga Dimeji hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Bola Ezeafulukwe came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Carterton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bola Ezeafulukwe couldn't finish the play. The Theorah FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carterton were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
