Malam Ekpo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okorie Aro in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Berwick Upon Tweed's goalkeeper Malam Ekpo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanley Arinze Dickson. Stanley Arinze Dickson scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Malam Ekpo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stanley Arinze Ogbo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berwick Upon Tweed's Malam Ekpo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okorie Aro in the 66th minute of play. When Tijjani Zubairu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. A collision led to West 6 FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Tijjani Zubairu hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes West 6 FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovia Abodunde. Stanley Arinze Dickson kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Berwick Upon Tweed's Stanley Arinze Ogbo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okorie Aro in the 84th minute of play forced Berwick Upon Tweed's goalkeeper Malam Ekpo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanley Arinze Dickson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanley Arinze Ogbo in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hammed Aiyetan saved West 6 FC from getting behind.
