Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Osar Etete made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chikadibia Bature in the 6th minute of play forced Doncaster's goalkeeper Nwabugwu Falana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sampson Achai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Clever Ovie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nwabugwu Falana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osar Etete in the 20th minute of play. Nwabugwu Falana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bola Ezeafulukwe in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Doncaster got a freekick which was hit by Rapuokwu Khumbotso. In the 25th minute Bola Ezeafulukwe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nwabugwu Falana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osar Etete in the 27th minute of play forced Doncaster's goalkeeper Nwabugwu Falana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nwabugwu Falana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bola Ezeafulukwe went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Bola Ezeafulukwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nwabugwu Falana having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osar Etete in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nwabugwu Falana saved Doncaster from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Sampson Achai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doncaster's supporters rose to their feet, but Sampson Achai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clever Ovie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carterton's Clever Ovie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Carterton from getting a goal against them. Clever Ovie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sampson Achai in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute, Sampson Achai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rapuokwu Khumbotso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Clever Ovie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osar Etete in the 45th minute of play forced Doncaster's goalkeeper Nwabugwu Falana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Ettah Adediji was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carterton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Doncaster the free kick. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carterton! After the first half Carterton were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sampson Achai to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Wasiu Chaicai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doncaster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wasiu Chaicai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nwabugwu Falana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osar Etete, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Rapuokwu Khumbotso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clever Ovie having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Osar Etete fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With his leg Nwabugwu Falana managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Carterton's Bola Ezeafulukwe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ettah Adediji got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Carterton's Ettah Adediji got a free kick in the 70th minute. Connally Olaniyi didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Rapuokwu Khumbotso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Clever Ovie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Sampson Achai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Clever Ovie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clever Ovie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sampson Achai in the 82nd minute of play. Bola Ezeafulukwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nwabugwu Falana having to interfere. Olawale Habibu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Doncaster got a freekick which was hit by Rapuokwu Khumbotso. After recieving a nice pass, Carterton's Olusegun Alachi tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nwabugwu Falana made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Bola Ezeafulukwe sent off a good shot on target. If Sampson Achai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
