Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Osi Hamma made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Erfan Argungu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birmingham's supporters rose to their feet, but Erfan Argungu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erhabor Wadada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 4 played minutes Hellfire FC got a freekick which was hit by Mannaseh Akpan. Hellfire FC's Erhabor Wadada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erfan Argungu in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Innocent Eli Azuh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erhabor Wadada came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Birmingham's Erfan Argungu. But to his dismay, Erfan Argungu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Godwin Azubuike made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Osi Hamma sent off a good shot on target. Romanus Isiaq sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romanus Isiaq in the 22nd minute of play forced Hellfire FC's goalkeeper Erhabor Wadada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 27 in the game by Osi Hamma from a close distance when the talented Godwin Azubuike managed to make a qualified save. Birmingham's players were relieved. In the 28th minute, Dilibe Adedipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes Birmingham got a freekick which was hit by Oluchi Ama-Nwauwa. Erhabor Wadada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romanus Isiaq in the 35th minute of play. Hellfire FC's Erhabor Wadada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erfan Argungu in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute Romanus Isiaq shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erhabor Wadada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47thth minute of the game Osi Hamma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birmingham's Godwin Azubuike was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

1-2 became the score in the 56th minute when Erfan Argungu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Romanus Isiaq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Erhabor Wadada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hellfire FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Erfan Argungu 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Godwin Azubuike didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osi Hamma went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Mma Hashimu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godwin Azubuike having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Osi Hamma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godwin Azubuike was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Mma Hashimu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godwin Azubuike having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Hellfire FC's Osi Hamma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godwin Azubuike made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. When Hellfire FC's Osi Hamma in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birmingham's goalie prevented a goal. Erhabor Wadada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erfan Argungu in the 90th minute of play. Erfan Argungu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 95 minutes on the clock, Bosun Onime commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When Ibe Moses came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Hellfire FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibe Moses couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hellfire FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
