In the 40th minute, Magnus Ukaoha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Egobudike Ishola. The goal made the score 1-0. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A nice corner shot did that Ozo Bamgbelu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nkemakolam Ezedinma quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th match minute, Stonehouse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Usman Okutubo to maneuver through the defense. If Eluemuno Eghagha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekpeyong Koshoni got free with Nkemakolam Ezedinma in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stonehouse walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
