After a defensive mix-up in Hellfire FC's zone, Nnamdi Ekeh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erhabor Wadada came out of the goal and Nnamdi Ekeh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erhabor Wadada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nkiruka Etim in the 31st minute of the match. Hellfire FC's Osi Hamma got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Mma Hashimu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hellfire FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Hellfire FC's Osi Hamma got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute.
