Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stonehouse's Magnus Ukaoha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Salcombe's Ogbonna Agunbiade got control of the ball when Bimbo Nworgu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nkemakolam Ezedinma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nkiruka Etim in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nkiruka Etim in the 9th minute of play forced Stonehouse's goalkeeper Nkemakolam Ezedinma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nkiruka Etim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nkemakolam Ezedinma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nkiruka Etim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salcombe's Nnamdi Ekeh got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nkiruka Etim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Nkiruka Etim made a precise shot to the right of Nkemakolam Ezedinma. Stonehouse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nkemakolam Ezedinma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nkiruka Etim's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Nkiruka Etim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nkiruka Etim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nkemakolam Ezedinma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The corner ended in Okey Gishiwari almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stonehouse's Nkemakolam Ezedinma did a great save. In the 38th minute, Nkiruka Etim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Usman Okutubo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Nkiruka Etim kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Nkiruka Etim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Salcombe were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Akamadu Olorunshogo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Nkiruka Etim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Nkemakolam Ezedinma when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nkemakolam Ezedinma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nkiruka Etim's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The supporters of Salcombe booed when Stonehouse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Usman Okutubo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes, Nkiruka Etim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salcombe and the Stonehouse players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Salcombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nkiruka Etim to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes, Stonehouse's Usman Okutubo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ogbonna Agunbiade came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stonehouse reached it. Nkiruka Etim struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Nkemakolam Ezedinma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salcombe. Nkiruka Etim succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. After 77 played minutes Nkiruka Etim rounded Stonehouse's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Salcombe's zone, Magnus Ukaoha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ogbonna Agunbiade came out of the goal and Magnus Ukaoha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Bimbo Nworgu made a precise shot to the right of Ogbonna Agunbiade. Salcombe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After having played for 90 minutes, Magnus Ukaoha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stonehouse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magnus Ukaoha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salcombe's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
