Emelogu Igwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Earl Shilton's Clever Amadasu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Okechukwu Owonaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Bristol Totterdown's goal looked a bit too open when Emelogu Igwe came free, but Okechukwu Owonaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ibezim Odoko came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Bristol Totterdown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibezim Odoko couldn't finish the play. Earl Shilton's Clever Amadasu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Comfort Olododo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emelogu Igwe in the 30th minute of play forced Bristol Totterdown's goalkeeper Okechukwu Owonaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Earl Shilton's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emelogu Igwe in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Ibezim Odoko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benson Munachi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bristol Totterdown's zone, Emelogu Igwe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okechukwu Owonaru came out of the goal and Emelogu Igwe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Okechukwu Owonaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emelogu Igwe in the 53rd minute of play. Ibezim Odoko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Benson Munachi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emelogu Igwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Emelogu Igwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Bristol Totterdown got a freekick which was hit by Muisi Ogoriba. Emelogu Igwe struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Okechukwu Owonaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Earl Shilton. In the 85th match minute, Earl Shilton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubanwa Aiyetan to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Earl Shilton had played much better football throughout.
