In a very dangerous position, a player in Stonehouse fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Igwebuike Obasa shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Leicester's Dan Mbonu came free and shot a quick shot against goal 10 minutes in the game, fortunately Nkemakolam Ezedinma had problems saving as it came toward the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Ukaoha in the 13th minute of play forced Leicester's goalkeeper Enang Akosu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Mbonu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nkemakolam Ezedinma having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Stonehouse's goal looked a bit too open when Emelogu Oruma came free, but Nkemakolam Ezedinma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattew Adekanmi charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mattew Adekanmi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Stonehouse's Mattew Adekanmi got a free kick in the 19th minute. With 20 minutes on the clock, Chi Agoye commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 20th minute, one of Stonehouse:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stonehouse. The crowd rose to their feet as Kambina Datoru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nkemakolam Ezedinma. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Leicester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akudinobi Sule to maneuver through the defense. Nkemakolam Ezedinma was a little too slow when Emelogu Oruma got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-0. Dan Mbonu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Nkemakolam Ezedinma made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igwebuike Obasa got free with Nkemakolam Ezedinma in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Dan Mbonu made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Leicester's zone, Magnus Ukaoha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enang Akosu came out of the goal and Magnus Ukaoha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tobenna Abulu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Stonehouse's Oluwole Tukur got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Dan Mbonu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stonehouse's Nkemakolam Ezedinma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute, Leicester's Osar Ihekire seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Osar Ihekire the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Leicester protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Osar Ihekire had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Igwebuike Obasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nkemakolam Ezedinma having to interfere. Dan Mbonu ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, Stonehouse's Magnus Ukaoha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enang Akosu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nkemakolam Ezedinma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Mbonu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Stonehouse's Usman Okutubo got a free kick in the 80th minute. Dan Mbonu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Dan Mbonu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nkemakolam Ezedinma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stonehouse's zone, Dan Mbonu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nkemakolam Ezedinma came out of the goal and Dan Mbonu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leicester's Dan Mbonu in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stonehouse's goalie prevented a goal. Nkemakolam Ezedinma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Mbonu in the 98th minute of the match. Leicester's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
