With an all-out effort, Neen Sollars's Erhabor Wadada threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eluemuno Eghagha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Erhabor Wadada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eluemuno Eghagha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erhabor Wadada was a little too slow when Eluemuno Eghagha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Chinua Adekoje was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neen Sollars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hellfire FC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Neen Sollars got a freekick which was hit by Chinua Adekoje. With his leg Erhabor Wadada managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Neen Sollars's Ekpeyong Koshoni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Hellfire FC's Osi Hamma in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 25th minute, Onodugo Agbo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erhabor Wadada. The goal made the score 2-0. If Ekpeyong Koshoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Hellfire FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eluemuno Eghagha came free, but Erhabor Wadada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jere Ugo Osafo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Neen Sollars's Ekpeyong Koshoni got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onodugo Agbo in the 39th minute of play forced Hellfire FC's goalkeeper Erhabor Wadada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chinua Adekoje got free with Erhabor Wadada in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ugorji Adekunle hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Neen Sollars's Chinua Adekoje got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. The referee ordered Chinua Adekoje off the ground. The supporters of Hellfire FC booed when Neen Sollars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chinua Adekoje didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Hellfire FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ibe Moses hit a great ball. If Ekpeyong Koshoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 minutes, Robai Julius Alagala mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hellfire FC and the Neen Sollars players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hellfire FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Robai Julius Alagala hit a great ball. Ozo Bamgbelu struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Erhabor Wadada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neen Sollars. Eluemuno Eghagha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Comfort Ogbeche came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Hellfire FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Comfort Ogbeche couldn't finish the play. Osi Hammas short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Egobudike Ishola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Comfort Ogbeche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comfort Ogbeche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egobudike Ishola having to interfere. Osi Hamma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egobudike Ishola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Eluemuno Eghagha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Neen Sollars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Osi Hamma who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Egobudike Ishola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Osi Hamma did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Egobudike Ishola 91 minutes into the match. Neen Sollars were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hellfire FC for a fine match.
