Aderounmu Njoku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akamadu Oke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akamadu Oke in the 7th minute of play forced Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hendon getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tunde Udbeide hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Daniel united's Ikem Iwuh seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ikem Iwuh the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Daniel united protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ikem Iwuh had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Daniel united's Ikem Iwuh got a free kick in the 11th minute. Aderounmu Njoku acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 11th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kete Titus Udoh. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Habakkuk Isibor. Aderounmu Njoku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okagbue Ojonugwa in the 18th minute of the match. Aderounmu Njoku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akamadu Oke, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hendon's zone, Kunaiyi Oladapo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jushua Sati Tunde came out of the goal and Kunaiyi Oladapo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Hendon booed when Daniel united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekechukwu Olaniyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Kete Titus Udoh from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Aderounmu Njoku's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tunde Udbeide kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Hendon's Jushua Sati Tunde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bamisile Aghanya in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Daniel united getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ijeli Mbong hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hendon's zone, Bamisile Aghanya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jushua Sati Tunde came out of the goal and Bamisile Aghanya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jushua Sati Tunde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bamisile Aghanya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the game, Ijeagha adegbenjo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daniel united's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hendon the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, Daniel united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ijeagha adegbenjo to maneuver through the defense. Hendon's Kete Titus Udoh got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel united's Aderounmu Njoku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okagbue Ojonugwa in the 58th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Daniel united:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hendon:s goal. Udokamma Onyemaechi kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Hendon got a freekick which was hit by Okagbue Ojonugwa. 76 minutes into the match, Daniel united's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah Ohuabunwa came free, but Aderounmu Njoku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kunaiyi Oladapo fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daniel united's protests and gave Kunaiyi Oladapo a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Daniel united got a freekick which was hit by Kunaiyi Oladapo. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Habakkuk Isibor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hendon's supporters rose to their feet, but Habakkuk Isibor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aderounmu Njoku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacob Iwuh during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Jacob Iwuh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Tunde Udbeide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aderounmu Njoku. Daniel united's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tunde Udbeide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 92nd minute Habakkuk Isibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderounmu Njoku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hendon were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Daniel united for a fine match.
