Daniel united's Ijeli Mbong got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel united's Aderounmu Njoku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ime Sunday Egbanabo in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Akpan Hashimu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aderounmu Njoku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ime Sunday Egbanabo in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Chioke Awoyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Enjoy Yourself's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daniel united the free kick. A collision led to Enjoy Yourself getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Chioke Awoyo hit a great ball. Ijeagha adegbenjo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Olender having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Akpan Hashimu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Daniel united's supporters rose to their feet, but Akpan Hashimu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radomil Olender breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Daniel united's zone, Chinwemma Adebote stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aderounmu Njoku came out of the goal and Chinwemma Adebote tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radomil Olender acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bamisile Aghanya. After having played for 46 minutes, Ijeagha adegbenjo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Daniel united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ijeagha adegbenjo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chinwemma Adebote was the one to do the kick off. Aderounmu Njoku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chinwemma Adebote in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Enjoy Yourself booed when Daniel united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joy Anzigah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chinwemma Adebote's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aderounmu Njoku read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Ime Sunday Egbanabo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Akpan Hashimu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Enjoy Yourself booed when Daniel united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akpan Hashimu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aderounmu Njoku had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Chinwemma Adebote from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 83rd minute Ijeagha adegbenjo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomil Olender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chinwemma Adebote in the 85th minute of play forced Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ijeagha adegbenjo in the 88th minute of play forced Enjoy Yourself's goalkeeper Radomil Olender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Enjoy Yourself's Chinwemma Adebote dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. A hard shot by Chizuoke Rotimi from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Aderounmu Njoku's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
