Clever Akpala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 10th minute Akamadu Oke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clever Akpala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kieffers Abaku kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 14 minutes, Akamadu Oke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hendon and the Diss players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hendon getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Akamadu Oke hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Onuchukwu Olerum had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jushua Sati Tunde. Hendon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Onuchukwu Olerum was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ositadimma Odiaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diss's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Habakkuk Isibor scored to the left of an out of position Clever Akpala, making the score, 2-1. A collision led to Hendon getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Akamadu Oke hit a great ball. Tunde Udbeide kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diss's goalkeeper Clever Akpala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Hendon defense, Onuchukwu Olerum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jushua Sati Tunde. The Hendon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jushua Sati Tunde should have stopped the shot. Hendon's Akamadu Oke got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Akamadu Oke off the ground. The supporters of Diss booed when Hendon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akamadu Oke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diss's Clever Akpala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Diss from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Habakkuk Isibor was the one to do the kick off. Eluemuno Ogbodo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Kete Titus Udoh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clever Akpala showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tunde Udbeide hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Diss's goal looked a bit too open when Habakkuk Isibor came free, but Clever Akpala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clever Akpala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Habakkuk Isibor in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Onuchukwu Olerum recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jushua Sati Tunde. Onuchukwu Olerum showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. Habakkuk Isibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Udokamma Onyemaechi's late challenge caught a Diss's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Udokamma Onyemaechi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Hendon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Udokamma Onyemaechi to maneuver through the defense. 3-5 came in the 80th minute when Eluemuno Ogbodo all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Jushua Sati Tunde. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Onuchukwu Olerum put it in 3-6 from a short distance just to the right of Jushua Sati Tunde. After 88 minutes, Eluemuno Ogbodo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diss and the Hendon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eluemuno Ogbodo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Habakkuk Isibor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Clever Akpala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Diss supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Diss would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
