With his leg Jushua Sati Tunde managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Borrinchas's Pius Animam fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jushua Sati Tunde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pius Animam in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Hendon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tunde Udbeide to maneuver through the defense. Otitodilichukwu Omololu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jushua Sati Tunde. Hendon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chi-Chi Abimbola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tunde Udbeide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jushua Sati Tunde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pius Animam, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Hendon getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Okagbue Ojonugwa hit a great ball. Pius Animams short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Jushua Sati Tunde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Borrinchas booed when Hendon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okagbue Ojonugwa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a left leg Jushua Sati Tunde saved Hendon from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Hendon's Tunde Udbeide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chi-Chi Abimbola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Okagbue Ojonugwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Chi-Chi Abimbola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Hendon's Jushua Sati Tunde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pius Animam in the 52nd minute of play. Tunde Udbeide kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute Martins Imhagwe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jushua Sati Tunde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pius Animam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jushua Sati Tunde having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Akamadu Oke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hendon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borrinchas the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Hendon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akamadu Oke to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Pius Animam made a precise shot to the right of Jushua Sati Tunde. Hendon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
