Spectators: 9343 (Terracing: 7008, Seating: 2149, VIP seats: 186) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Achebe Okeke took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Martins Imhagwe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Birkk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pius Animam came free, but Ikem Isu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Martins Imhagwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pius Animam had several of the Birkk FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ikem Isu as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 12th minute, Borrinchas's Tobe Atere dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Tobe Atere scored 3-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ikem Isu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Birkk FC's Ikem Isu got control of the ball when Pius Animam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ikem Isu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pius Animam, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Chi-Chi Abimbola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achebe Okeke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Ayoade Brisibe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Pius Animam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ikem Isu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ikem Isu was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Martins Imhagwe capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martins Imhagwe really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. Pius Animam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ikem Isu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martins Imhagwe in the 38th minute of play forced Birkk FC's goalkeeper Ikem Isu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birkk FC's Ikem Isu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobe Atere in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pius Animam made a kick off. When Martins Imhagwe came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Borrinchas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martins Imhagwe couldn't finish the play. Pius Animam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ikem Isu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobe Atere scored 6-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ikem Isu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pius Animam in the 59th minute of play forced Birkk FC's goalkeeper Ikem Isu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ikem Isu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobe Atere in the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Tobe Atere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ikem Isu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Martins Imhagwe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Martins Imhagwe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Ikem Isu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute Tobe Atere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ikem Isu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Martins Imhagwe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borrinchas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birkk FC the free kick. After 81 played minutes Borrinchas got a freekick which was hit by Martins Imhagwe. Birkk FC's Ayoade Brisibe shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Chi-Chi Abimbola but with some difficulty. 85 minutes into the match, Tobe Atere had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ikem Isu. Birkk FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tobe Atere was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Ikem Isu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobe Atere, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Ikem Isu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pius Animam in the 93rd minute of the match. Martins Imhagwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the game, Borrinchas's Tobe Atere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ikem Isu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0.
