Hendon's Jushua Sati Tunde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kete Titus Ugochukwu in the 10th minute of play. After some careless play in the Hendon defense, Kete Titus Ugochukwu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jushua Sati Tunde. The Hendon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jushua Sati Tunde should have stopped the shot. Chukwubuikem Dombraye hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The long shot by Kete Titus Udoh in the 19th minute really tested Chidinma Udenkwele's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Chidinma Udenkwele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akamadu Oke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Falcons FC's zone, Habakkuk Isibor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chidinma Udenkwele came out of the goal and Habakkuk Isibor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akamadu Oke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Falcons FC's Chidinma Udenkwele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Falcons FC from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Akamadu Oke was the one to do the kick off. Habakkuk Isibor charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Habakkuk Isibor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Habakkuk Isibor hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Chidinma Udenkwele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akamadu Oke in the 68th minute of play. If Habakkuk Isibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Akamadu Oke in the 71st managed to get into a good position. Gozie Nwobodo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jushua Sati Tunde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Falcons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Seyi to maneuver through the defense. Akamadu Oke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chidinma Udenkwele having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Falcons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamilu Alerechi to maneuver through the defense. Habakkuk Isibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
