Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pius Animam kicked off to start the match. If Martins Imhagwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pius Animam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chidinma Udenkwele having to make a save. The supporters of Borrinchas booed when Falcons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Seyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pius Animam scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chidinma Udenkwele, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chidinma Udenkwele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martins Imhagwe in the 19th minute of the match. Chidubem Adanri hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd match minute, Borrinchas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igwe Isuku to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes of play, Borrinchas's Pius Animam made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chidinma Udenkwele was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Borrinchas's Pius Animam in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Falcons FC's goalie prevented a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Falcons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pius Animam came free, but Chidinma Udenkwele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Chukwubuikem Dombraye fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falcons FC's protests and gave Chukwubuikem Dombraye a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Chukwubuikem Dombraye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Pius Animam made a precise shot to the right of Chidinma Udenkwele. Falcons FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When Borrinchas's Pius Animam in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Falcons FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pius Animam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pius Animam in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chidinma Udenkwele saved Falcons FC from getting behind. After the first half Borrinchas were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kete Titus Ugochukwu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chidubem Adanri's late challenge caught a Borrinchas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chidubem Adanri helped the player get up and apologised. Chidubem Adanri kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Pius Animam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Chidinma Udenkwele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Pius Animam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borrinchas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pius Animam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tobe Atere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chidinma Udenkwele having to interfere. Falcons FC's Chidinma Udenkwele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Falcons FC from getting a goal against them. Tobe Atere could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Chidinma Udenkwele made a huge save. In the 80th match minute, Falcons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kete Titus Ugochukwu to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Falcons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pius Animam came free, but Chidinma Udenkwele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chidinma Udenkwele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pius Animam's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Muhammadu Shittu charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Muhammadu Shittu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Borrinchas getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Muhammadu Shittu hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Borrinchas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Falcons FC.
