The supporters of Daniel united booed when Falcons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yakwen Osanyintuyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ekechukwu Olaniyi hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 10 minutes of play, Falcons FC's Chidubem Adanri made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aderounmu Njoku was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Kete Titus Ugochukwu in the 14th minute of play forced Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Falcons FC defense, Joy Anzigah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chidinma Udenkwele. The Falcons FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chidinma Udenkwele should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Joy Anzigah's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chidinma Udenkwele was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Joy Anzigah who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Chidinma Udenkwele when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kete Titus Ugochukwu in the 26th minute of play forced Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joy Anzigah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chidinma Udenkwele having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Daniel united's goal looked a bit too open when Kete Titus Ugochukwu came free, but Aderounmu Njoku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joy Anzigah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Chidinma Udenkwele made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Falcons FC's Yakwen Osanyintuyi got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ijeagha adegbenjo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Chidinma Udenkwele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Daniel united. Joy Anzigah who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Chidinma Udenkwele when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joy Anzigah was the one to do the kick off. Ijeagha adegbenjo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Chidinma Udenkwele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Joy Anzigah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Chidinma Udenkwele was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the game, Emelogu Okechi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daniel united's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Falcons FC the free kick. Emelogu Okechi kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Ekechukwu Olaniyi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chidinma Udenkwele skillfully saved the ball. Chidinma Udenkwele came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Daniel united's Bamisile Aghanya. But to his dismay, Bamisile Aghanya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 79th minute, Ijeagha adegbenjo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joy Anzigah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Chidinma Udenkwele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, one of Falcons FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Falcons FC. Ekechukwu Olaniyi's late challenge caught a Falcons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ekechukwu Olaniyi helped the player get up and apologised. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Daniel united had played much better football throughout.
