Onyema Adebona was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Pius Animam capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pius Animam really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Martins Imhagwe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ishaq Iheanacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chi-Chi Abimbola having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match, Martins Imhagwe tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Onyema Adebona saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 31st minute, Borrinchas's Pius Animam ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Onyema Adebona. Onyema Adebona yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 37th minute, Pius Animam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borrinchas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Chi-Chi Abimbola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ishaq Iheanacho in the 42nd minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Nailsworth got a freekick which was hit by Chiemela Skinn. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Pius Animam took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Onyema Adebona to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pius Animam was the one to do the kick off. After 60 minutes of play, Borrinchas's Pius Animam made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Onyema Adebona was left in no man's land by his defense there! Onyema Adebona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pius Animam in the 64th minute of the match. Nailsworth's Onyema Adebona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pius Animam in the 66th minute of play. Igwe Isuku's late challenge caught a Nailsworth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igwe Isuku helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes Borrinchas got a freekick which was hit by Igwe Isuku. Borrinchas made a substitution. Muhammadu Shittu replaced Markus Ukpabi. Igwe Isuku kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Borrinchas's goalkeeper Chi-Chi Abimbola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chinwo Bature. Ekundayo Aborishade kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 80 minutes of play, Borrinchas's Martins Imhagwe made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Onyema Adebona was left in no man's land by his defense there! Borrinchas's Seyi Jayeoba got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Onyema Adebona didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pius Animam went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 96 minutes into the game, Muhammadu Shittu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Onyema Adebona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Borrinchas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
