In the 5thth minute of the game Onuchukwu Olerum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paulinam fc's Obialo Onyemachi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Obialo Onyemachi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ositadimma Odiaka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Obialo Onyemachi came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Diss's Onuchukwu Olerum. But to his dismay, Onuchukwu Olerum quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th minute Ositadimma Odiaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Obialo Onyemachi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Paulinam fc booed when Diss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Obinna Omolade didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Okelola Etafia came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Paulinam fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Okelola Etafia couldn't finish the play. Clever Akpala was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Okelola Etafia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Okelola Etafia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Ositadimma Odiaka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Obialo Onyemachi. Paulinam fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ositadimma Odiaka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Clever Akpala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okelola Etafia, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

69 minutes in the game Reuben Tijani did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ositadimma Odiaka. In the 78th minute, Ositadimma Odiaka reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Obialo Onyemachi. The goal made the score 2-3. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paulinam fc! Obialo Onyemachi made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Onuchukwu Olerum sent off a good shot on target. After 95 played minutes Paulinam fc got a freekick which was hit by Yusuf Okatahi. When the match was over Diss could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paulinam fc throughout the match.
