Birkk FC's Ikem Isu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chinwemma Adebote in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Ime Sunday Egbanabo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Birkk FC's Ikem Isu. Ikem Isu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ikem Isu came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Enjoy Yourself's Ime Sunday Egbanabo. But to his dismay, Ime Sunday Egbanabo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nna Ogbo in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radomil Olender, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 19th minute Ime Sunday Egbanabo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ikem Isu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ikem Isu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chioke Awoyo in the 20th minute of play. Ikem Isu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kunaiyi Onuabunchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Achebe Okeke rounded Enjoy Yourself's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. The supporters of Birkk FC booed when Enjoy Yourself was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chinwemma Adebote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ikem Isu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chioke Awoyo in the 30th minute of the match. Nna Ogbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Olender having to interfere. Ikem Isu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ime Sunday Egbanabo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Nna Ogbo in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radomil Olender, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 64th minute of the match, Ime Sunday Egbanabo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ikem Isu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ikem Isu made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Kunaiyi Onuabunchi sent off a good shot on target. After 66 minutes, Achebe Okeke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Birkk FC and the Enjoy Yourself players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Birkk FC got a freekick which was hit by Achebe Okeke. 68 minutes into the match, Birkk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chinwemma Adebote came free, but Ikem Isu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Enjoy Yourself got a freekick which was hit by Ime Omehia. Radomil Olender came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Birkk FC's Nna Ogbo. But to his dismay, Nna Ogbo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Ime Sunday Egbanabo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-4 in the 74th playminute. Thanks to some nice moves Kunaiyi Onuabunchi could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Ikem Isu however easily saved by the left post. If Nna Ogbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rd minute, Udoka Akau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes Birkk FC got a freekick which was hit by Ayoade Brisibe. Chinwemma Adebote hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Birkk FC's Ikem Isu got control of the ball when Ime Sunday Egbanabo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Enjoy Yourself's Ime Sunday Egbanabo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ikem Isu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. When the final whistle sounded Enjoy Yourself left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Birkk FC.
