Chi-Chi Abimbola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Chi-Chi Abimbola came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Spalding's Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare. But to his dismay, Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Pius Animam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Okolocha Felix Alaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pius Animam's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Pius Animams short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Okolocha Felix Alaba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 16 minutes into the game, Pius Animam recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Okolocha Felix Alaba. Pius Animam showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Pius Animam sped through Spalding's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Okolocha Felix Alaba. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pius Animam got free with Okolocha Felix Alaba in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Borrinchas's Martins Imhagwe got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pius Animam had several of the Spalding's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Okolocha Felix Alaba as he didn't even see the shot coming. 30 minutes into the match, Borrinchas's Pius Animam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Okolocha Felix Alaba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Borrinchas's Tobe Atere got a free kick in the 36th minute. Pius Animam had several of the Spalding's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-1 score and a disappointed Okolocha Felix Alaba as he didn't even see the shot coming. 42 minutes into the match, Borrinchas's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare came free, but Chi-Chi Abimbola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Pius Animam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okolocha Felix Alaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pius Animam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Okolocha Felix Alaba when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Onyeka Adegbesan to strike the kick off in the second half. Chi-Chi Abimbola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onyeka Adegbesan in the 52nd minute of play. Pius Animam might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Okolocha Felix Alaba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pius Animam ran back to his position shaking his head. After 57 minutes of play, Borrinchas's Pius Animam made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Okolocha Felix Alaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute Pius Animam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okolocha Felix Alaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Spalding was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anayolisa Eshieshi to maneuver through the defense. Borrinchas made a substitution. Muhammadu Shittu replaced Markus Ukpabi. Anayolisa Eshieshi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Okolocha Felix Alaba didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Borrinchas's Pius Animam shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Pius Animam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Okolocha Felix Alaba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Pius Animam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spalding's Okolocha Felix Alaba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Okolocha Felix Alaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pius Animam's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Okolocha Felix Alaba came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Borrinchas's Pius Animam. But to his dismay, Pius Animam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-1. Okolocha Felix Alaba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pius Animam went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 11-1 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute, Pius Animam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Muhammadu Shittu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Borrinchas had played much better football throughout.
