Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Onyeka Adegbesan kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Spalding's zone, Ijeli Mbong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okolocha Felix Alaba came out of the goal and Ijeli Mbong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Ijeagha adegbenjo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okolocha Felix Alaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Daniel united got a corner. Spalding's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Akpan Hashimu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aderounmu Njoku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onyeka Adegbesan in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Ijeagha adegbenjo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Daniel united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ijeagha adegbenjo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel united's Akpan Hashimu got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aderounmu Njoku made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare in the 28th minute. Aderounmu Njoku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anayolisa Eshieshi in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Afamefula Adaji hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akpan Hashimu, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Aderounmu Njoku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aderounmu Njoku was a little too slow when Clever Adeniran got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ijeagha adegbenjo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Okolocha Felix Alaba saved Spalding from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anayolisa Eshieshi in the 42nd minute of play forced Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Clever Adeniran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spalding fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Okolocha Felix Alaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ijeagha adegbenjo's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ijeagha adegbenjo made the kick off in the second half. When Ijeli Mbong came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Daniel united fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ijeli Mbong couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Anayolisa Eshieshi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 61 in the game by Ijeagha adegbenjo from a close distance when the talented Okolocha Felix Alaba managed to make a qualified save. Spalding's players were relieved. After 64 minutes Spalding's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Akpan Hashimu who took care of the corner kick. Anayolisa Eshieshi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bamisile Aghanya charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bamisile Aghanya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bamisile Aghanya kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Daniel united:s Aderounmu Njoku showed great skill when he stopped Afamefula Adaji:s penalty. Aderounmu Njoku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anayolisa Eshieshi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Ijeagha adegbenjos short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Okolocha Felix Alaba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Spalding's Clever Adeniran got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 78th minute, Kunaiyi Oladapo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Onyeka Adegbesan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aderounmu Njoku having to interfere. Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aderounmu Njoku having to interfere. Ijeli Mbong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aderounmu Njoku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clever Adeniran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel united's Aderounmu Njoku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare in the 94th minute of play. Aderounmu Njoku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anayolisa Eshieshi in the 95th minute of play. Kunaiyi Oladapo's late challenge caught a Spalding's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kunaiyi Oladapo helped the player get up and apologised. Kunaiyi Oladapo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Spalding had won after a very even match.
