The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ozulu Oyeoku during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yoruba FC booed when Torpoint City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ozulu Oyeoku didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Yoruba FC's Festus Owotoki made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rufus Ajayi was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Yoruba FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Festus Owotoki hit a great ball. Torpoint City's Rufus Ajayi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Festus Owotoki in the 35th minute of play. Rufus Ajayi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tochi Oluwafemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Ikedinachukwu Ekong made a precise shot to the right of Rufus Ajayi. Torpoint City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tochi Oluwafemi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute, Yoruba FC's Tochi Oluwafemi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7.
