Murphy Echanomi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo. Yoruba FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Festus Owotoki hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Yoruba FC were awarded a corner. Chiazago Akinola went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Yoruba FC's Festus Owotoki getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 22 played minutes BLACK DRAGON got a freekick which was hit by Andy Gbajabiamila. Bruno Belmiro came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Yoruba FC's Festus Owotoki. But to his dismay, Festus Owotoki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bruno Belmiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tochi Oluwafemi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Tochi Oluwafemi scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Belmiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Yoruba FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Yoruba FC's Tochi Oluwafemi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 39 played minutes BLACK DRAGON got a freekick which was hit by Alex Achi. 41 minutes in the game, Tochi Oluwafemi dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Tochi Oluwafemi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yoruba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tochi Oluwafemi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Belmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calistrat Sălcudeanu was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Calistrat Sălcudeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Yoruba FC's Festus Owotoki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Belmiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Calistrat Sălcudeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BLACK DRAGON and the Yoruba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the last second Bruno Belmiro throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tochi Oluwafemi in the 94thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Yoruba FC played a much better game than BLACK DRAGON and deserved their victory. The BLACK DRAGON players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
