Zeineddine Doulyazal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th match minute, Safi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashraf Bassir to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute of the match, Wali El Hadrioui got a very nice opportunity to score, but Agafay El Ahmadi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Wali El Hadrioui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Safi's supporters rose to their feet, but Wali El Hadrioui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agafay El Ahmadi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mazine Bendahman to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Yazid Boutayeb put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Safi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ben Taib:s goal. Wali El Hadrioui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agafay El Ahmadi having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Wali El Hadrioui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Agafay El Ahmadi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th match minute, Safi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asulil Khayri to maneuver through the defense. Ouassim Chakhssi spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Safi's goal. If Wali El Hadrioui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Ben Taib got a freekick which was hit by Asfru Fegrouch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aznag Jrindou in the 84th minute of play forced Ben Taib's goalkeeper Agafay El Ahmadi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aznag Jrindou struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Agafay El Ahmadi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Safi. Asfru Fegrouch hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Wali El Hadrioui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ben Taib's Amin Belabed got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mazine Bendahman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Zeineddine Doulyazal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
