The referee gave Tangier Étoile a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ghazi Roumani, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manchester United's Aureliusz Cerocki. 0-1. After 11 minutes, Taher Akaaboune mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester United and the Tangier Étoile players grew even worse after the yellow card. Taher Akaaboune blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Najim El Guarrouj having to make a save. Tangier Étoile's Najim El Guarrouj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamal El Bounadi in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Taher Akaaboune had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Najim El Guarrouj. Tangier Étoile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Taher Akaaboune was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ashraf Sarraj kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Zakariya Benkhirane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taher Akaaboune could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Najim El Guarrouj made a huge save. Taher Akaaboune who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Najim El Guarrouj when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Tangier Étoile's Zakariya Benkhirane got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 杨庭邦 hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Anaruz Ajri took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aureliusz Cerocki. Taher Akaaboune fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Najim El Guarrouj having to interfere.

After 56 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Ashraf Sarraj. In the 61st minute, Ghazi Roumani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Najim El Guarrouj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taher Akaaboune, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Manchester United's Kamal El Bounadi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kamal El Bounadi took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Najim El Guarrouj. Najim El Guarrouj dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Manchester United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tangier Étoile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
