But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Youmni Lamyaghri couldn't finish the play. Zakariya Regragui made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Zuhair Sarraj sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 23 minutes, Youmni Lamyaghri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fès's supporters crossed their fingers, but Youmni Lamyaghri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Settat's goal looked a bit too open when Youmni Lamyaghri came free, but Zakariya Regragui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuba Sarhani charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yuba Sarhani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Settat getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Yuba Sarhani hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rami Diane in the 31st minute of play forced Fès's goalkeeper Yassir Boughanem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Youmni Lamyaghri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Youmni Lamyaghri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Zuhair Sarraj got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Youmni Lamyaghri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zakariya Regragui came out and tried to block the shot, but Youmni Lamyaghri slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Youmni Lamyaghri made the kick off in the second half. When Youmni Obbadi came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Settat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Youmni Obbadi couldn't finish the play. In the 85thth minute of the game Zuhair Sarraj who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Settat's Zakariya Regragui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yuba Sarhani was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 87th minute, Yuba Sarhani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zakariya Regragui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youmni Lamyaghri, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Settat's Usem Alloudi got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fès's Yassir Boughanem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Fès from getting a goal against them. Youmni Lamyaghri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zakariya Regragui having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Settat walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
