Taoufiq El Asmar's late challenge caught a taronto 1879's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Taoufiq El Asmar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to El Jadida Hassania getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Taoufiq El Asmar hit a great ball. Housni Madih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Housni Madih's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Monir Jbilou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Monir Jbilou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamil Boukhari, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Ziyad Fenkar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, El Jadida Hassania's Taoufiq El Asmar tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Jamil Boukhari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Jadida Hassania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamil Boukhari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Housni Madih's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Monir Jbilou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Jamil Boukhari might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Monir Jbilou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jamil Boukhari ran back to his position shaking his head. Afra Abdessadki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salam Ait Omar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Youmni Zairi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, El Jadida Hassania's Agafay Chihi got a free kick in the 41st minute. Salam Ait Omar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Youmni Zairi having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salam Ait Omar to strike the kick off in the second half. Agafay Chihi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Monir Jbilou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Housni Madih during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of taronto 1879 booed when El Jadida Hassania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Housni Madih didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salam Ait Omar struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Youmni Zairi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for taronto 1879. Salam Ait Omar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Youmni Zairi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El Jadida Hassania's zone, Afra Abdessadki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Youmni Zairi came out of the goal and Afra Abdessadki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Housni Madih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salam Ait Omar in the 86th minute of play forced El Jadida Hassania's goalkeeper Youmni Zairi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Agafay Chihi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Jadida Hassania's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave taronto 1879 the free kick.
