Sebastião Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chakir Madih in the 20th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Aznag Fellah threw the ball into play from the sideline. Marrakech FC's Alan Mota quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 36 minutes into the match, Nacer Khlifi notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Union de Marrakech's Salaheddine El Hamdaoui. Salaheddine El Hamdaoui was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abdellatif Benkhirane received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Salaheddine El Hamdaoui came out and tried to block the shot, but Abdellatif Benkhirane slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chakir Madih stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Abdellatif Benkhirane made a precise shot to the right of Salaheddine El Hamdaoui. Union de Marrakech's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 60 minutes into the game, Marrakech FC's Cássio Proença nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salaheddine El Hamdaoui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. When Marrakech FC's Abdellatif Benkhirane in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alan Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Union de Marrakech's zone, Nacer Khlifi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salaheddine El Hamdaoui came out of the goal and Nacer Khlifi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Marrakech FC fully deserved thier win.
