After 11 played minutes Wydad AC got a freekick which was hit by John Terry. 17 minutes into the game, Zarco Borba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wydad AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Khenifra Union Sportive the free kick. A collision led to Wydad AC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Zarco Borba hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Wydad AC's John Terry got a free kick in the 19th minute. 姜轩迅 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rochdi Ouaddou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wakil Zemmama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 姜轩迅 having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Wakil Zemmama ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 姜轩迅 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Abdelali Miftah struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. 姜轩迅 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Khenifra Union Sportive. If Wakil Zemmama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wakil Zemmama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wydad AC's 姜轩迅 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wakil Zemmama in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zarco Borba to make the kick off. Khenifra Union Sportive's Wakil Zemmama got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Rochdi Ouaddou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 姜轩迅. Wydad AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rochdi Ouaddou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Victorino Lore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wakil Zemmama took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 姜轩迅. 姜轩迅 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.
