After 26 played minutes Huddersfield got a freekick which was hit by Jim Osmond . 27 minutes into the match, Dennis Rice sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Brandon Butler Yeats threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Dennis Rice this time. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josh Swanson in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marty Hughes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Purfleet's zone, Ivan Simmons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Hughes came out of the goal and Ivan Simmons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Simmons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute Ivan Simmons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Purfleet's Zackary Trueman got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Tony Henman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marty Hughes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aidan Patten kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Ivan Simmons came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Huddersfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Simmons couldn't finish the play. Ivan Simmons could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Marty Hughes made a huge save. John McLiam Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aidan Patten hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Josh Swanson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Purfleet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aidan Patten to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes, Teddy Croyden made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Huddersfield's Brandon Butler Yeats tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Huddersfield's goal looked a bit too open when Teddy Croyden came free, but Brandon Butler Yeats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teddy Croyden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teddy Croyden in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brandon Butler Yeats saved Huddersfield from getting behind. Purfleet's Marty Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Simmons in the 96th minute of play. Purfleet were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Huddersfield for a fine match.
