Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vince Joy started the match with the kick off. Kevin Bates stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vince Joy's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute, Hanworth FC's Mike Claydon seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mike Claydon the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hanworth FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mike Claydon had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 9th minute, one of Hanworth FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hanworth FC. When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, Uxbridge City's Ash Clifton got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kevin Bates . Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benji Dixon in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Argent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benji Dixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Argent having to interfere. Lewis Wilkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Hanworth FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Bateman . Ash Clifton, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. William Argent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benji Dixon in the 26th minute of play. Roy McCormick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Ash Clifton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uxbridge City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hanworth FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Uxbridge City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hanworth FC:s goal. Hanworth FC's Benji Dixon got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Vince Joy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Bates having to interfere. Roy McCormick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kevin Bates tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benji Dixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Argent having to interfere. If Vince Joy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Bates made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy McCormick in the 72nd minute of play. Andrew Bateman 's late challenge caught a Uxbridge City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrew Bateman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, Hanworth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Bateman to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Bates didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vince Joy went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Benji Dixon came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hanworth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benji Dixon couldn't finish the play. William Argent made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benji Dixon in the 89th minute. After 90 minutes, Rob Nicholls mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uxbridge City and the Hanworth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rob Nicholls hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Jason Shakespeare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Benji Dixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uxbridge City were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hanworth FC for a fine match.
