Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Eton defense, Bryan Seward kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Brookman. The Eton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Brookman should have stopped the shot. Kevin Brookman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kev Powell, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Fitz Alderson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fitz Alderson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kevin Brookman came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Crusaders FC's Bryan Seward. But to his dismay, Bryan Seward quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Crusaders FC's Piers Marlow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fitz Alderson in the 20th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Crusaders FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fitz Alderson came free, but Piers Marlow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piers Marlow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dylon Milburn in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fitz Alderson in the 34th minute of play forced Crusaders FC's goalkeeper Piers Marlow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Kev Powell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Fitz Alderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Marlow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Biernats short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Piers Marlow to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ross George charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ross George the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Crusaders FC's Ross George got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Crusaders FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kev Powell made a kick off. In the 63rd minute, Jerry Booker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Piers Marlow stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fitz Alderson's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. If Fitz Alderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Adam Biernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Marlow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitz Alderson in the 79th minute of play. Alf Cusack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Brookman having to interfere. In the 83rdth minute of the game Fitz Alderson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crusaders FC's Piers Marlow was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vince Topham in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piers Marlow prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Fitz Alderson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eton's supporters rose to their feet, but Fitz Alderson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piers Marlow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
