Spectators: 6861 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 0) Derry Hill's Joshua Washington started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Joshua Washington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maik Hardy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Everett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alan Garlick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joshua Washington in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maik Hardy saved Par AFC from getting behind. Pete Larham struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Frankie Whittaker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Par AFC. After a rather tough play, Par AFC's Dylon Horseman got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Alan Garlick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 played minutes Par AFC got a freekick which was hit by Colin Radcliffe . In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Derry Hill's goalkeeper Frankie Whittaker , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Par AFC's goalkeeper Maik Hardy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Garlick . Maik Hardy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Washington in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pete Larham was the one to do the kick off. If Alan Garlick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Pete Larham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Derry Hill's goalkeeper Frankie Whittaker , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pete Larham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Whittaker having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play, Derry Hill's Alan Garlick made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maik Hardy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Derry Hill's zone, Pete Larham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frankie Whittaker came out of the goal and Pete Larham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Stu Morcom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derry Hill's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Par AFC the free kick. Derry Hill's Frankie Whittaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Larham in the 89th minute of play. 2-1 became the score in the 93rd minute when Pete Larham elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Derry Hill had won after a very even match.
