Spectators: 6845 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1845, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexander Yorke started the match with the kick off. After having played for 9 minutes, Alf Cooke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Twickenham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Cooke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 10 in the game by Alf Cooke from a close distance when the talented Dave Giugno managed to make a qualified save. Welford's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Welford's John Cornforth got a free kick in the 11th minute. Alexander Yorke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Giugno having to interfere. Dave Giugno was a little too slow when Alexander Yorke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 2-0. Ged Brontë kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Welford's Vance Golding got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Vance Golding managed to get in a good position for a shot. Welford's supporters rose to their feet, but Vance Golding was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toby Faith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luke Makem kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Dave Giugno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Cooke in the 36th minute of the match. Toby Faith didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Welford's Vance Golding shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 57 played minutes Welford got a freekick which was hit by John Cornforth . After 60 minutes of play, Twickenham's Alf Cooke made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Giugno was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute Reuben Dawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toby Faith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alf Cooke took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dave Giugno . Dave Giugno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Twickenham's Alf Cooke got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Twickenham's Alexander Yorke got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute Alexander Yorke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Giugno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
