Spectators: 6861 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 0) Twickenham's Alexander Yorke started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bradley Blewitt might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toby Faith . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bradley Blewitt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 3rd minute, one of Twickenham:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Twickenham. Toby Faith had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Biagio Censi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 4th minute, Biagio Censi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toby Faith was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Brian Corrigan scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toby Faith , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toby Faith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Hay , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alf Cooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rhys Digby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Blackheath's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Yorke came free, but Rhys Digby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alf Cooke 's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rhys Digby firmly grabbed it by the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Willie Groves notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Twickenham's Toby Faith . Toby Faith was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 53rd minute, Bradley Blewitt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toby Faith . The goal made the score 0-4. Toby Faith made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Brian Corrigan sent off a good shot on target. Twickenham's Toby Faith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Lineker in the 62nd minute of play. Blackheath's Brian Corrigan suffered a sore thigh after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Blackheath made a substitution. Leigh Winstanley replaced Brian Corrigan . After 64 played minutes Twickenham got a freekick which was hit by Neil Morse . Ray Hay , 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 73rd minute Alf Cooke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Digby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Biagio Censi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Toby Faith when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Cooke in the 81st minute of play forced Blackheath's goalkeeper Rhys Digby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Twickenham's goal looked a bit too open when Leigh Winstanley came free, but Toby Faith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rhys Digby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Cooke in the 92nd minute of play. Blackheath's Rhys Digby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Cooke in the 94th minute of play.
